Unveiling the Heart Behind the Healing
My name is Lamar Greene (they/them), and I am the heart and soul behind Doula Alchemist Healing. As a Black, Queer and Non-Binary person raised by a single mother in a food desert community, my identity is interwoven into the very fabric of this practice. I understand the complexities of navigating healthcare and healing, especially for those whose identities intersect in ways that are marginalized. This understanding fuels my passion for creating a deeply affirming, empowering, and transformative healing practice.
Ultimately, my sacred work as a full spectrum doula, alchemist, and healer was prompted by a journey of remembering who I am at a soul level. With a background in health promotion, healthcare navigation, and reproductive health research and activism, I have dedicated years to understanding the nuances of reproductive justice. Some highlights of my advocacy while remembering myself home to my soul calling include: helping Atlanta residents navigate affordable health insurance options and access affordable produce; creating a nationally recognized clinical provider workshop on the stigma surrounding race and sexuality in HIV prevention among youth; conducting research on the effects of discrimination on prenatal care usage for Black birthing parents; and lobbying for the 2019 Women’s Health Protection Act as an intern with the Center for Reproductive Rights. I have also explored perinatal HIV prevention while with the Prevention Access Campaign/U=U and as a PrEP/HIV Care Navigator with the L.A. Department of Public Health.
On my rebirth journey, I engaged in intense shadow work, inner child healing, life coaching and therapy, community earthwork, chakra balancing, and psychic and akashic records readings. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Human Health from Emory University in 2019, which included a 2017 Tibetan Mind-Body Sciences summer study abroad experience in India learning about the mind-body connection, Tibetan culture, and Tibetan healing rituals.
I earned my Spiritual Life Coaching certification in 2024 with Transformation Academy™. I earned my Full Spectrum Doula certification in 2023 with Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings (BADT), a Black and Queer led doula training organization. I also completed an abortion doula continuing education course with BADT. I completed an “Herbal Medicine Making for Birth Support” course in 2023 with Hood Herbalism, a BIPOC community herbal education space that decentralizes colonial ways of understanding plant knowledge. I am also receiving mentorship from the Commonsense Childbirth Institute and being trained in The JJ Way®, an evidence-based framework that significantly reduces disparities in health and birth outcomes.
I believe in the liberation power of reproductive justice and healing justice, and I am grateful to be able to guide others on their journeys.

My Inspiration
Doula Alchemist Healing is a Black, Queer and Non-Binary owned culturally grounded healing practice. My inspiration comes from my mother’s birthing narrative and having witnessed her navigate reproductive healthcare as a fiercely resilient single, Black mother. This practice is also profoundly inspired by the many contributions of the Black and Indigenous Grand Midwives, doulas, and traditional healers who persisted through enslavement, racism, and erasure to serve as a network of healers and spiritual leaders for their own communities and the larger society. In addition to being evidence-based, trauma informed, and healing centered, my services draw from traditional themes of African American healing including reproductive care work, community herbalism, and divination.

Can Doula Alchemist Healing support me if I choose to have an abortion?
Absolutely, Doula Alchemist Healing provides both In-Clinic and Medication Abortion Doula Services. Having a doula present during an abortion experience can be very beneficial. Doulas serve as a grounding and supportive presence and can provide education about the procedure and aftercare. They can also help process emotions that might arise before, during, or after the abortion and offer spiritual support throughout the process.
Will Doula Alchemist Healing support me if I choose to birth at a hospital?
Absolutely, Doula Alchemist Healing will support you on your birthing journey regardless of where you plan to give birth. This can include a hospital birth, birth center birth, or planned home birth attended by a midwife or other healthcare professional. Please know that doula services offered by Doula Alchemist Healing are tailored to meet your unique needs to achieve an empowering birth experience.
Does Doula Alchemist Healing offer doula services for other reproductive care and family creation journeys?
Doula Alchemist Healing currently offers a core set of full spectrum doula services, which means reproductive care support that goes beyond pregnancy and birth. Those core full spectrum doula services include abortion doula services, birth doula services, and postpartum doula services. Regarding birth doula services, I support clients regardless of the outcome even in the unfortunate event of a miscarriage or stillbirth. Doula Alchemist Healing is currently offering doula services for adoption, surrogacy, fertility and conception, and gender affirming care on a case-by-case basis within the capacity of the practice.
What does Spiritual Life Coaching entail?
Spiritual Life Coaching at Doula Alchemist Healing is a journey of self-discovery and connection with one’s inner voice and intuition. Through guided reflection, mindfulness practices, and various spiritual tools, you are supported in navigating life’s challenges and transitions. This is about connecting deeply with the essence of who you are, becoming the best version of yourself, and empowering you to walk your life path with clarity and purpose.
